The Strathearn Gallery is a fabulous contemporary art gallery in Crieff, set up in 1994 and run by Susan Bennett. The gallery is well known for exhibiting original work from leading Scottish artists as well as supporting new and up-and-coming artists. The gallery sells a mouth-watering selection of applied art including ceramics, glass, sculpture and jewellery at prices ranging from £50 into the hundreds - if you're looking for a special present for someone, this gallery will be the place to find it. It's also a member of the Own Art scheme which allows you to pay a deposit plus 10 monthly payments when buying a piece of art that could max out the credit card... Littleworks Creative offers little works of art by Tamara Williams. She makes her unique pieces using plaster to cast both intaglio and relief plates. Each cast is unique, since no two castings are the same. Even colours can change due to the plaster baking the surface and altering the stability of the inks..Tamara's exquisite artworks always start with a drawing - and much of her inspiration comes from plants. Each plaster tile is air-dried, mounted and framed, and frames are hand-painted. Works are made to order and colours can be specified. Prices from £65
